SO-MOD 2010  Event  Rules:
(All City, State, and Federal Laws will be Enforced)

1.  No one under the age of 18 will be allowed to attend!  Security and our staff will check IDs at the entance of the event.  IDs may also be checked at any time during the event if there is any question regarding an attendees age.  If there is any question in legal ID from our  security staff who also have law enforcement background,  then you will be asked to leave and not allowed to enter!
Ryan Talent and Modeling Agency will be  using Salon A in the Holiday Inn doing an Independent Off Shoot Event the day of SO-MOD for all age models.  Although not an official part of the main SO-MOD, they are going to be there to allow younger models to take part with their agency and any adult models from their agency to come over to to SO-MOD 2010.

2.  All photographers and models must stay inside the Ball Room for shooting pictures unless the model,  or photographer has their own room to shoot inside of ,  or  has a private hotel room for shooting.  There  is to be  "NO SHOOTING IN PUBLIC AREAS"  of the Convention Center for this event  and  shooting in hotel areas will be at the approval of the hotel management only.   This rule has been imposed to ensure the proper respect to other Convention Center guest.  Any photographer or model unable to comply with this rule will be asked to leave the Expo and there will be no refund given  to funds paid into the Expo Event.  If there  is any problem should you be asked to leave peacefully and don't comply,  then our security or local law enforcement may be used to remove you from the location.  Follow the rules of the event with this one being one of the most important ones and there should not be any problems within this event, or cause any problems for the other guest or management of the Hotel and Convention center which has so graciously provided us with a Ball Room for the event as well as given this event group rates for Hotel Rooms.

We the host and sponsor of the event respect the Management of the Hotel and Convention Center and have agreed to this in advance of the event.  Therefore, it is in the best interest of all parties to follow all the rules listed here to the letter.  If you do not understand a rule, please find a convention worker and ask about it.  Do not expect to break the rule and ask for forgiveness later.  Ask first and avoid breaking any rules.(Note,  the rules will be given at the door when you arrive as well as being posted here prior to the event.)   There should not be any excuse for not knowing the rules by the time of the event.

3. Security is being provided by the host and sponsoring company of this event.  All photographers wanting to do private shoots with models will know that all models attending the event  have direct access to our security and staff to be escorts on any private shoots within the Hotel rooms upon request.

4.  "A Special Shooting Room"  will be provided based on the number of Photograohers, who wish to rent additional secure locations from us.  Security will be provided for models during these shoots.  The shooting room will have time blocks to sign up for.  This will all be based on the number of photographers and models attending the event, who may not wish to rent a hotel room, but desire a more private location to shoot.

5.  The only attendees that will be allowed to shoot Nude Photography on the floor of the expo during the expo hours of the event are the Photographers who have rented a Photographer Secure Pipe and Drape Setup for $100.    These photographers can then shoot nudes inside a secured pipe and drape section on the Ballroom floor.  You must keep all nudity and nude shooting inside your area.  What is permitted is at the discretion of the Magnum's Models sponser/host.  Personal backdrops, lights, and other equipment will be allowed inside of your private pipe and drape area.

Note:  No photographer or any other person will be allowed to do anything considered offensive to any attendee or others inside of the private area.  Security will monitor all shoots, attendees, floor areas, etc.

Currently only five "pipe and drape" setups with full electric will be available.  These are available on a first come/first serve basis.  If more are needed, the sponser/host will investigate the situation.    The sponser/host reserves the right to refuse rental of the pipe and drape set up if he believes that the requester may not be intending to use the setup in a professional maner.

The Magnum's Models Photographer Network will also have a Pipe and Drape Shooting Area during the event!  As in the past SO-MOD events, photographers should be willing to help each other out as this is a networking event for everyone.

6.  All photographers will pay a $30.00 entry fee to attend the Expo and will be allowed full shooting rights of models on the floor of the expo during all expo hours with the exception of nude photography, which must be done and only done as described in rule 5 above.   Still,  we stress to ask any model you wish to do one on one shooting with permission before shooting that model as a show of respect for the model's rights.     Most models are more than willing to shoot with you if you just show common respect as it's a two way street when it comes to great posing from professional models.

If you don't know how to ask them to shoot,  then please feel free to get with one of the hosting staff,  hosting assistants, event models,  or security people from the sponsoring companies.   We are here to help in any way possible to make your experience a pleasant and rewarding one.  No refunds will be given based on a failure on the part of any photographer to get a model to shoot with them one on one, or take the proper steps to network with models.    Any negative feedback based on this can be an automatic revoking of attendance to future events by the host and their company.

7.  Weapons will not be allowed on the Expo floor in regard to Firearms including those  who have conceal carry permits.  No firearms from off duty  Police unless your ID can be verified by our Local Law Enforcement  working with us as part of our security detail.   Weapons such as swords, etc that are being used as props will be under our control at all times and we will check these props with the Hotel and Convention Center Management.  These are  not to leave the Ball Room and photographers wishing to use such props must  have them signed out each time with one of our security detail.  Any props left in Private Hotel Rooms not brought onto the floor of the Expo  are the responsibility of the Photographer and  or Model who owns them.  Please show respect to the sponsor if they are considered both props and/or weapons as we are aware that a lot of  models use swords in their photo shoots as well.
Fake or Prop Guns, if any model or photographer has them and wants to use them in a photo shoot , must be checked by our security to ensure they are just that and they do not contain any firing mechanism, or could be altered to contain one.   Both our security detail and the host have backgrounds to ensure this.   All Models, Photographers, Guest will be checked at the Security Check Point prior to entering the Expo.  All bags will be subject to checking at the entrance as well as random metal detector scans and random search any time during the Expo by Security should there be a need for such searches, etc.    This is to ensure the safety of all parties attending the Expo as well as the Hotel and Convention Center Management and Staff.

8. There will be some food provide for the 2010 event,  but no one is to bring any food or drinks onto the floor of the Ball Room.  You will be allowed to leave to either utilize the Restaurant in the Hotel or many of the local nearby Restaurants should you wish to do so in-between  workshops, classes, etc.  We encourage using the Hotel Restaurant if at all possible  and staying within the Hotel area unless you have booked a private shoot in one of our many local attractions areas set up in advance of you attending the Expo.

9. Please do not disturb any other event going on in the Convention Center, or Hotel Guest with your actions.  This includes public posing which again is not being allowed outside the walls of the Ball Room this year.  Even though there will be a lingerie, bikini and character costume(Films, TV shows, Comics, etc) competitons inside the Ball Room,  please dress moderate to conservative when traveling either to the restrooms, back and forth to your rooms if you have booked them with the hotel, or through any public areas.   Again,  please no public posing that can cause problems for all attending the Model Expo.

10. For attendees not preregistering, all fees except for general admission will be double thd day of the event.

11.   Vendors must Pre-Pay for tables no later than 3 weeks prior to the event.   Anyone not paid three weeks prior to the event will be unable to get a vendor table.   Failure to pay a table  fee will forfeit your attendance at the Expo and may impact you from attending future SO-MOD events.

12.  Any vendor or guest who works with adult content as part of their business  will not publicly display this work at their tables where any one under the age of 18 can see it .  Although no one under 18 is to be admitted, ID checks will still be the responsibilty of  the vendor  or guest who may be selling photos, or magazines autographed, etc of this nature during the Expo as part of the event.  (This includes any guest which might be like a Playboy Playmate or Playboy Model who signs their picture or magazine for a fee.)  Hosting company will not be responsible for any vendor or guest who does not follow the State and Federal Laws Regulating these actions.   Vendors asked to leave the Expo for rule violations will not be given any refund for violation of these rules or any  laws.  We are honored to have any part of the modeling community as a part of the event,  but will not tolerate disrespect or disregard to the laws governing any actions involving monors.

13.  Although you can shoot models openly on the Expo floor and during competitions,  all One-on-One Modeling or Guest Shooting needs a proper  release signed unless you are shooting an event host, or guest  in general public,  or during a competition that is open to all to shoot freely.

14.  The hosting company works with local law enforcement to maintain a safe, secure and legal atomsphere as well as with the Hotel Management.  Therefore the following violations will be turned over to them if  the host has any knowlege of such actions:  These include  "Solicitation" by either Photographers or Models as this is not part of our Industry and we don't want that atomsphere as part of our events.  Shooting or attempting to shoot a model  under the age of 18 years of age or aiding someone under the age of 18 in gaining entry to the EXPO will not be tolerated.  If any of this happens,  then proper law enforcement agencies will be notified and you will be both banned from the event and can be charged with a crime by the proper law enforcement agency.  Our company will check on any thing brought to our attention as we believe in the total protection of the character of all our attendees and the reputation of this Expo event.

15.  The host and sponsor companies  reserve the right to ban any photographer,  model, vendor, or guest  for breach of these rules.  The Company also reserves the right to ban any previous person from past SO-MOD events for rules of ethics, or criminal violations.  Banned means up to 1 year or life-time if the action was a criminal act.  We respect the Hotel,  The Convention Center, The Management and the City of Bowling Green, KY and will not tolerate any disrespect shown to them by an attendee of this event committing a criminal act during the Expo.

16.  Safety is a primary concern of models attending SO-MOD 2010 and the Host/Sponsor Company has set  the event up for them to work and network in a safe manner.  Any model doing a private shoot in a room will have the right to bring an escort including if asked a SO-MOD Event Staff or Security Person.  Co-Host, or any other person involved with SO-MOD 2010 can be asked to attend the private shoot for safety concerns.
The shoot will never be interfered with unless a model's safety is at risk and we will protect our guest models to the best of our abilites from any and all harm.
